In the new industrial policy of Haryana, hilly and less fertile areas would be given due attention for the development of industries and tourism to ensure equitable growth all over the state, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said.
Addressing a public meeting at Kalka in Haryana, near here, Khattar said that Kalka and its adjoining area falls in the category of hilly region and the new Industrial policy, which would be finalised in about a month, would spur growth of the area in particular and the State in general.
He said there are lot of possibilities of tapping tourism and industrial sector in Kalka area, which borders Himachal Pradesh.
He announced to set up a college at Raipur Rani area, grant of Rs 1.05 crore for stadium of Kalka college and construction of dam at Morni for irrigation purpose.
He said that Morni and Raipur Rani areas had already been declared industrially backward.
Khattar urged the people to take a pledge that they would not give anything in lieu of their routine works in government offices, which will help curb corruption.
The Chief Minister assured that neither he himself nor any of his minister or his legislator would allow themselves to become a part of corruption while discharging their duties.
"Good governance and administration can only be provided to people when it eliminates corruption in real terms. Initially we are trying to curb the corruption with appeal to all, in case we do not get fruitful results; action (against those found indulging in corruption) will be taken as per law. If there is no corruption at the top level, there should not be any corruption at the lower level," he said.
