Panic gripped the Rajasthan High Court campus today after the office of the district judge (rural) here claimed it had received a letter warning of a bomb blast, the police said.
The letter was received in the afternoon. As soon as the police go to know of the bomb threat, the entire court premises was fortified and an emergency response team, sniffer dogs and bomb disposal squad were rushed to the spot. The whole area was searched for close to three hours, they said.
Police Commissioner Ashok Rathore said the letter received by the office of the district judge (rural) warned of a bomb blast on the high court premises on August 10.

After checking vehicles, the parking lot and every nook and corner of the court premises, the police deduced it was a hoax.
Extra police personnel have been stationed at the high court complex.
The police said the source of the letter was not known yet.
