LF condemns alleged police brutalities

The Left Front today condemned the alleged police brutalities on its workers in the state and said the party will organize rallies in various parts of the state in protest against it tomorrow.

"We condemn the police brutalities on Left workers when they were agitating for people's right. Tomorrow we will organize rallies across the state to protest against the police brutalities," West Bengal Left Front chairman and CPI(M) politburo member Biman Bose said in a statement.

CPI(M) state secretary Surya Kanta Mishra too condemned the alleged police brutalities.

Police today lathicharged supporters of the Left parties when they forcibly tried to enter the office of the District Magistrate of North 24 Parganas district.
 

In another incident seven policemen were injured in Bankura when they tried to stop a large number of members of Leftist organisations from entering the district magistrate's office, police said.

The LF had organised a programme during the day to submit memorandum to the district magistrates in all the districts against the policies of the state and the central government.
