In order to regulate vehicles on the city roads, Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal today directed the transport commissioner to evolve a "doable comprehensive parking policy" with traffic police, DDA, municipal corporations and PWD.

The directions were issued at a meeting on the parking issue, chaired by the LG. Senior officers from concerned departments, including MCD, Delhi Development Authority (DDA), traffic police were present.

"For need based parking solutions, Comm (Transport) to evolve a doable comprehensive parking policy with traffic police, DDA, MCDs & PWD," the Lt Governor tweeted.

Last month, Baijal had said that keeping the city and its public spaces clean and ensuring organised parking will be among his priorities.

After taking charge as the Delhi LG on December 31, Baijal had said he would put in his best efforts on improving law and order situation, women safety, traffic congestion, besides strengthening infrastructure and civic amenities in the city.
