1989 popular TV drama 'Life Goes On' stars Patti LuPone, Kellie Martin and Chris Burke gathered for a mini-reunion for an upcoming episode of 'Home and Family'.

Not surprisingly, LuPone got choked up when she laid eyes again on Burke, who played her son suffering from Down syndrom and Martin's brother on the drama that aired from 1989 to 1993 on ABC, reported Us magazine.

'Life Goes On' was the first TV series to feature a major character with Down syndrome.

"We had a lot of Down Syndrome kids on the set. They are angels on earth. Chris was very special because he was put in a situation that he wouldn't normally be put into in his life ... Chris embraced the responsibility. Chris changed tremendously from the very first moment I saw him," LuPone said.

'Life Goes On' also starred Chad Lowe, Bill Smitrovich and Tracey Needham.

'Home & Family', an American talk and home information show, has reunited several casts from old dramas like 'Dynasty' (1981) and 'Knots Landing' (1979).

The 'Life Goes On' reunion will air on the show today at 10 am ET on Hallmark.
