A local court has sentenced a man to life for murdering a woman for gain two years ago.
The prosecution case was that Rajesh (34), a hotel employee, had stabbed a 38-year-old woman on July 4, 2013, seized gold ornaments weighing ten sovereigns from her possession and fled.
Hearing the case yesterday, Mahila Court Judge Thirunavukkarasi sentenced Rajesh to life.
