A court sentenced two persons to life imprisonment after convicting them in a murder case here today.
Mayurbhanj Additional District Court Judge Jit Kumar Singh convicted Motai Kudad (28) and Nandu Kudad (26) under sections 302, 506, 379 and 34 of the IPC after finding them guilty of murdering a woman, Sangi Munda, with sharp weapons in full public view at the weekly market of Balichua village under Sarat police station in the district on September 7, 2012.
The cause of the murder was a land dispute, police said, adding that the deceased woman's son, Sahu Munda, had filed an FIR in this regard.
The court had recorded the statements of 21 persons before pronouncing the verdict.
