Life term for man who killed son suspecting he wasn't his

A special court here today awarded life imprisonment to a man, who killed his two-and-a- half-year-old son suspecting that he was not his offspring.

Special judge Alka Gupta of the SC/ST court also imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on Mukesh Jangid, a resident of Malpura village under Deikheda police station.

Jangid doubted his wife's fidelity and killed his young son when he was asleep and there was no one at home in March last year.

The father of Jangid lodged a complaint in the Deikheda police station.

During the trial, at least 16 witnesses were examined in the court, Public Prosecutor Bhupendra Sahay Saxena said.
