Light rain occurred at one or two places in the southern part of Bihar, while the weather remained dry in other parts with Gaya being the hottest place in the state at 40.8 degrees celsius.
As per the met office bulletin, the maximum in Patna was 37.6 degrees up from yesterday's 36.6 degree celsius.
Bhagalpur registered a maximum of 38.4 degree celsius and Purnea 35.6 degrees, it said.

The weather office has forecast a partly cloudy sky for Patna and Gaya tomorrow, while Bhagalpur and Purnea may witness rain, thunderstorm or duststorm in the next 24 hours.
