Light rainfall in parts of Bihar

Light rainfall occurred at one or two places in north, south-central and south-east parts of Bihar as the Met department predicted a partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder tomorrow in some cities.

The four major cities of Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea did not witness rainfall today or in the past 24 hours.

The absence of rainfall increased the maximum temperature in the four cities including Patna by a few notches along with high level of humidity.

Bhagalpur recorded maximum temperature of 35.0 degrees celsius, followed by 34.9 degree celsius in Patna, 34.6 degrees celsius in Purnea and 33.1 degrees celsius in Gaya, the Met office said.
 

Humidity level was highest in Patna which recorded 84 per cent in the morning. Bhagalpur recorded 82 per cent of humidity level while Purnea and Gaya witnessed 74 per cent and 73 per cent of humidity level respectively, the bulletin said.

Meanwhile, Central Flood Control statement said all the embankments were safe in Bihar and all the rivers- except three rivers of Baghmati, Kamlabalan and Kosi- were flowing below danger level.
