Light rainfall in parts of Bihar, weather mainly dry

Light rainfall occurred in one or two places in central parts of Bihar, but the weather in the remaining part of the state was mainly dry today.

While light to moderate rainfall was recorded at one or two places in north eastern part of the state in the past 24 hours, the remaining part of the state was mainly dry.

As per Met bulletin, Patna received 0.4 mm rainfall, whereas it registered 12.8 mm rainfall in the past 24 hours.

Purnea received 5.7 mm of rainfall and Bhagalpur witnessed a trace in past 24 hours. Taibpur, Galgalia and Vaishali received five, four and two cm respectively, it said.
 

Gaya recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state at 38.6 degrees Celsius followed by 37.3 degrees Celsius in Bhagalpur, 37.2 degrees Celsius in Patna and 33.5 degrees Celsius in Purnea, Met office said.

Light rainfall in the morning made the weather in the state capital more humid making life difficult for citizens.

Patna, the state capital, witnessed a humidity level of 94 per cent in the morning while it was 81 per cent in the evening, the bulletin said.

Humidity level in Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea hovered between 65 to 76 per cent in the morning whereas that was in the evening hovered between 68 to 81 per cent in these cities.

In its forecast, the Met said that it would be a partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder in the above mentioned four major cities tomorrow.
