Light rainfall in some places in Bihar

Some places in Bihar today received light rainfall while the western part of the state remained mainly dry.

As per Met bulletin, Patna received 2.4 mm rainfall in past 24 hours while places like Bhimnagar received 2 cm and Suryagadha, Gogri and Mahua witnessed a rainfall of 1 cm each.

The absence of rainfall increased the maximum temperature by two notches above their normal in major cities - Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea.

Bhagalpur recorded the highest maximum temperature at 35.8 degrees Celsius, followed by 35.5 degrees Celsius in Purnea, 35.2 degrees Celsius in Patna and 35 degre Celsius in Gaya, the Met office said.
 

In its forecast, Met office said that Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea will witness partly cloudy sky with rain or thunder shower tomorrow.
