A day after it witnessed a sunny day, Delhi today reeled under a severe cold wave as icy winds along with light rains swept across the city dragging the maximum temperature down by 3.6 degrees to settle at 14.7 degrees Celsius.
The maximum temperature was recorded six notches below the season's average while the minimum settled at 11 degrees Celsius, which was three notches above normal and seven points higher then yesterday's 4 degree Celsius.
The city received 0.5 mm of rains till 8:30 AM and recorded traces of rainfall thereafter.

At least 56 trains were delayed and three were cancelled while six flights could not take off at their scheduled timings in the morning due to bad weather.
The visibility was 500 meters at 5.30 AM. It improved to 1,000 meters at 11.30 and remained so till 5.30 PM.
Humidity in air oscillated between 94 and 74 per cent.
According to MeT officials, light rains or thundershowers would occur in some areas till midnight.
"It will be partly cloudy day tomorrow. Moderate to dense fog would occur in morning. The maximum and minimum temperatures will hover around 17 and 8 degrees Celsius respectively," said the MeT forecast.
