Several parts of Bihar received
light to moderate rainfall while state capital Patna received no precipitation, the Met office said today.
Light rainfall occurred at a few places in north west, north central and south east parts of the state while it received light to moderate rainfall in north east and south east parts of the state.

Gaya recorded 15.4 mm rainfall since yesterday, followed by 0.8 mm in Patna, 0.4 mm each in Bhagalpur and Purnea.
Places like Dehri received 13 cm of rainfall while Indrapuri received 11 cm, Mahesi 8 cm and Mohania and Palmerganj registered 7 cm of rain each, the bulletin said.
Among the four major cities of the state, Bhagalpur recorded the highest identical maximum temperature at 36.4 degree Celsius, followed by 35.2 degree C in Patna, 35 degree C in Purnea and 33.7 degree C in Gaya.
Patna people witnessed sultry weather conditions all through the day due to the absence of rainfall and high level of humidity that hovered from 70 to 80 per cent.
In its forecast, the MeT office said that Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea are likely to witness partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder shower tomorrow.
