Light rains in parts of Himachal, more like on Monday

Some parts of Himachal Pradesh received light to moderate rainfall since Saturday evening, the Meteorological (MeT) department has said.

Dharamshala received 24 mm rainfall since 5.30 pm on Saturday, followed by Bharwain (5 mm), Mandi (4 mm) and Palampur (3 mm), Shimla MeT Centre Director Manmohan Singh said on Sunday.

He said maximum temperatures recorded at various places in the state were normal and minimum temperatures were 1 to 2 degrees above the normal.

The highest temperature in the state was recorded in Bhuntar at 33 degrees Celsius and the lowest was recorded in tribal district Lahaul and Spiti's administrative centre Keylong at 10 degrees Celsius, Singh added.

 

The MeT centre has forecast rain in some parts of the state till September 20.
