Light rains in some parts of city

Delhiites woke up to a pleasant morning today with light rains reported in some parts of the national capital.

According to the MeT department, minimum temperature was recorded at 27.4 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average.

Humidity recorded till 8.30 AM was 64 per cent this morning. Although the Safdarjung observatory recorded 'nil' rainfall, 0.8 mm of rainfall were recorded at Palam observatory.

An official of the department said that in the morning, light rains were reported in some areas of South-East and North Delhi.

The official has predicted light rains and thundershowers later in the day.

"Light rains or thundershowers may occur in Delhi. Maximum temperature is expected to settle at 40 degrees Celsius," official further said.
 

Yesterday, the minimum and maximum temperatures recorded were 23.1 degrees Celsius and 35.6 degrees Celsius.
