Light to moderate rains in Bihar

Light to moderate rainfall occurred at a few places in Bihar as the South West monsoon is getting weak since yesterday.

However, heavy rainfall was also witnessed in or two places, Met office said today.

Places like Bahadurganj received 7 cm while Chakia, Mehsi and Shohar received rainfall of 4 cm each.

Bairgania and Kamtaul registered rainfall of 3 cm each while Madhwapur, Saulighat, Madhepura, Basua and Hathwa witnessed 2 cm of rainfall each, Met office said.

Among the major cities, Bhagalpur recorded the highest maximum temperature at 36.0 degree Celsius, followed by Purnea at 35.2 degree C, Patna at 34.8 degree C and Gaya at 34.3 degree C.
 

A shower in the morning has made the capital's weather a bit humid, it said adding that Patna recorded humidity level between 74 to 76 per cent.

In its forecast, the Met department said that Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea are likely to witness generally cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder shower tomorrow, the Met bulletin said.
