Two women were today killed and one other got injured when they got struck by a sky lighting at Dabi village in Bundi district, the police said.
The incident occurred when they went to the field and it started raining. They took shelter under a nearby tree where they were struck by the lighting, killing two woman instantly and injuring the other, they added.
Fourth woman escaped unhurt in the lightening, they said.
The deceased identified as Manju Bai (30) and Nandu Bai (40) years were rushed to a near by hospital, along with the injured Mauja Bai (40), they said.
Later, the injured was refereed to a government hospital in Kota, SHO Uddam Singh said.
All were the residents of Dhaneshwar village of Bundi district, he added.
The dead bodies were handed over to the family members after the postmortem, police said, adding a case under section 174 of CrPC was lodged in this connection.
