A lightning strike today killed 22 sheep grazing on a hilly area in a village in the district here in Gujarat, an official said.
The incident took place near Harod village under Lakhpat taluka where the lightning struck when a flock of sheep was grazing, Mamlatdar (revenue official) of Lakhpat A K Rajgor said.
"As many as 22 sheep were killed in a lightning strike on a hilly area near Harod village," Rajgor said.
The sheep suffered severe burn injuries and died on the spot, he added.
