17-year-old Chandrabhushan Singh Kushwaha, a student of class ten, and Nathulal, aged 40, were killed in Ghazipur and Badaun districts respectively when lightning struck them, police said.
Rain occurred at many places since last evening as the south-west monsoon remained active in the state.
Kakrahi received 18 cms of rain, Uskabazar 17, Chibramau 13, Trimohini Ghat 13, Salon, Dalmau and Ghazipur 11 each, Basti 10, Rae Bareli 9 and Allahabad 8 cms, the weather office said.
