He said his appeal to different opposition parties to join hands with the Congress was only for a specific purpose of jointly waging a struggle against "anti-people" policies of the SAD-BJP government in Punjab.
Amarinder, however, said "everything is possible in politics and I do not rule out a broader political alliance in the state."
His appeal to opposition parties was aimed at securing their participation in the state-wide protest to be organised by the Congress from September seven against "anit-people" policies of the SAD-BJP government, he told reporters here.
