Veteran rapper Lil Kim is preparing to make her chart comeback in 2016 with her first full album in 11 years.
The "Lighters Up" hitmaker, who became a first-time mother last year, said she has been busy in the studio laying down vocals for the follow-up to 2005's The Naked Truth.
"I'm working on a new album for next year," she said.

Kim suggests she is also close to signing a new deal with executives at Atlantic Records for the project after a recent visit to their New York offices.
"I put up a post (on social media) not too long ago, I was at my old record label. So maybe... Hint, hint."
The album will be the hip-hop star's fourth solo studio release, but she hasn't been away from the music scene completely. She unveiled the mixtapes Black Friday in 2011 and Hard Core 2k14 in 2014, while she featured on longtime close friend Sean 'Diddy' Combs' MMM compilation last month.
