Rapper Lil Wayne's Miami Beach mansion was raided by police and his assets were seized on orders from a judge stemming from a civil case involving him and a private jet leasing company.

Helicopter footage from the scene captured authorities hauling items from 33-year-old Wayne's house into a truck, including what appeared to be wrapped artwork.

Last month, Signature Group successfully sued Wayne for USD 2 million over missed payments.

At the time, according to court documents obtained, Miami-Dade County Judge Lisa S Walsh denied Signature's request for a "break order" - which would allow police to enter Wayne's house with or without permission - because the group couldn't prove there were valuable assets on the premises.

Walsh, however, reversed her decision and signed a new order on October 30.

Her decision was partially based on an affidavit from a real estate agent who, according to Signature's suit, "had recently been inside the defendant's home and attested that there was assets inside."

Neither Wayne, nor a representative for the rapper, has yet to comment on the raid or repossession.
