Actress Lindsay Lohan is reportedly close to finishing her community service in time to avoid jail time.

The troubled actress is said to be "on track" to complete the court order within the required time period to meet the deadline on May 28, reported Radar online.

"Lindsay is on track to finish her court ordered community service by Thursday's deadline. She has made impressive work to get it done," a source said.

"Every hour will count, and the prosecutor will have the final total on Wednesday night/Thursday morning. As of Tuesday morning, if Lindsay continues to work the eight hour days, she will have it finished," the source added.

Lohan's failure to finish the court order within the required time period would "absolutely result in jail time," the source concluded.

The 28-year-old actress was sentenced to 125 hours of community service after she failed to finish her probation stemming from reckless driving and lying to police in 2012.

Although she skipped the first day of her community service, she finally began her court duty on Wednesday, May 13 at Duffield Children's Center in Brooklyn's Fort Greene neighborhood.

Days later, Lohan accelerated the service completion by gardening at TLC of Brooklyn Women's Shelter in New York City. She was also said to serve time at a daycare facility in the Fort Greene neighborhood in New York.
