Linkin Park has cancelled their previously scheduled performances in Tokyo, saying that the rock band need more time to heal from their vocalist, Chester Bennington's death.

The singer, 41, had committed suicide by hanging on June 20.

The music group, who was to perform in Tokyo with the Japanese band One On Rock in November, took to their Twitter account to share the update.

"We have been looking forward to being with all of you, but unfortunately cannot play our previously scheduled performances in Tokyo.

"Until now, we have not communicated about our November shows because we sincerely wished to play, even in the wake of Chester's passing. We are working each day to grieve, heal, and work towards stepping on stage together without our dear friend," the post read.

Linkin Park also thanked their fans and followers for their love and support.
