Press Trust of India Jaipur
Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today said her government was trying to link education with skill development and ITI training and this effort was helping youths in becoming gainfully employed in the state.

"I am confident that the students after completing their college education will make all of us proud," Raje said during a ceremony at a government college in Jhalawar.

She also said that 3,000 candidates out of the 35,000 participating in an army recruitment drive in the Hadoti region will be employed in the next four to five days.

"These candidates will make their families, districts and the state proud," Raje said.

According to the government, an amount of Rs 30 lakh has been spent on arrangements to minimise any inconvenience to these candidates.

About road construction and connectivity in Jhalawar, she said a new four-lane highway will be constructed at a cost of Rs 81 crore in the district.

She also urged people to "adopt" ponds on the lines of Kuchaman city in Nagaur district to conserve water in the relatively dry region.
