Linseed oil maintained its downtrend in an otherwise sluggish Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today due to poor demand from paint and allied industries.
Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial also moved down on reduced offtake from shippers and soap manufacturers.
In edible segment, refined palmolein eased owing to lower retail demand.
Meanwhile, groundnutoil continued to rule stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying.

In the non-edible section, Linseed oil slid by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 805 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 815. Castorseed bold slipped by Rs 10 per 100 kg to Rs 3,990 as against Rs 4,000 previously and casotroil commercial edged down by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 828 from Rs 830.
Moving to edible segment, refined palmolein went down by Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 615 from overnight close of Rs 618. Groundnutoil closed unchanged at Rs 770 per 10kg.
