Linseed oil moved up on persistent demand

While, Castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial prices eased following reduced demand from shippers and soap manufacturers.

Meanwhile, groundnut oil and refined palmolein held steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

In futures, castorseeds continued to offload positions

selling pressure due to sluggish export enquiries.

In non-edible segment, linseed oil gained by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 730 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 725. Castorseed bold declined by Rs 15 per 100 kg to Rs 3,300 from Rs 3,315 and castoroil commercial slipped by Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 690 as against Rs 693.

 

Turning to futures, castorseed for the September contract resumed lower at Rs 3,530 and eased further to Rs 3,450 before closing at Rs 3,464 as compared to Rs 3,551 yesterday, showing a fall of Rs 87 per tonne.

Moving to edible segment, Groundnut oil and refined palmolein closed unchanged at Rs 1,185 and Rs 612 per 10 kg respectively.
