Linseed oil prices spurted at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market on heavy demand from paint and allied industries.
Castorseed bold and castoroil commercial eased further owing to lower demand from shippers and soap industries.
Refined palmolein also softened due to poor offtake from retailers, while groundnut oil ruled steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying.
In the non-edible section, linseed oil shot-up by Rs 100 per 10 kg to Rs 1,130 from Thursday's close Rs 1,030.
Castorseeds bold dropped by Rs 15 per 100 kg to Rs 3,310 from yesterday's close of Rs 3,325 and castoroil commercial eased by Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 692 as compared to Rs 695 earlier.
Moving to the edible segment, refined palmolein edged down by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 588 as against Rs 590 previously and groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 1,200 per 10 kg.
