Linseed oil strengthens on consistent demand

While, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial both moved down further on subdued demand from shippers and soap manufacturers.

In the edible-segment,groundnutoil eased on lower demand from stockist and retailers amidst good supply position.

Refined palmolein also fell on reduced offtake from retailers.

In futures, castorseeds prices declined further on speculative selling owing to lack of export orders.

In the non-edible segment, Linseedoil gained by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 810 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 800. However, castorseeds bold went down by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 3,625 as against Rs 3,650 and castoroil commercial also edged down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 755 from Rs 760.

 

Turning to edible segment, groundnut oil slipped by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 1,190 as against Rs 1,195 previously. Refined palmolein also slid by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 613 from Rs 618.

In futures, castorseeds for the September contract opened lower at Rs 3,810, but later shot up to Rs 3,870 before drifting to finish at Rs 3,800 as against Rs 3,830 previously, showing a loss of Rs 30 per tonne.
