In futures, castorseeds futures recovered marginally on fresh speculative offtake following renewed export enquiries.
In the non-edible oil section, linseed oil hardened by Rs 5 per 10kg to Rs 860 from Monday's closing level of Rs 855.
Castorseeds bold slid by Rs 50 per 100kg to Rs 3,500 from Rs 3,550 and castoroil slipped by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 730 as against Rs 740 previously.
Moving to edible segment, groundnut oil went down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 1,280 from overnight closing level of Rs 1,285. Refined palmolein closed unchanged at Rs 507 per 10 kg.
Turning to futures, castorseed March contract resumed slightly higher at Rs 3,660 and hovered between Rs 3,667 and Rs 3,626 before closing at Rs 3,662 from previous closing level of Rs 3,655, a mere gain of Rs 7 per tonne.
