Linseed oil surges on sustained demand

Linseed oil surged at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on sustained demand from paint and allied industries.

Elsewhere, groundnut oil also firmed up owing to rising demand from stockists and retailers.

Castor seeds bold and castor oil commercial rebounded modestly due to fresh demand from soaps and shippers industries.

While, refined palmolein slide following reduced demand from retailers.

In the non-edible segment, linseed oil climbed by Rs 50 to Rs 930 per 10 kg from Monday's closing level of Rs 880.

Castor seeds bold rose by Rs 20 to Rs 4,445 per 100 kg as against Rs 4,425 and castor oil commercial edged up by Rs 4 to Rs 919 per 10 kg as compared Rs 915 yesterday.

 

Moving to edibles section, groundnut oil moved up by Rs 5 to Rs 870 per 10 kg as against Rs 865, but, refined palmolein softened by Rs 2 to Rs 678 per 10 kg from Rs 680 previously.
