Linseed oil weakens in subdued demand

Linseed oil weakened further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following subdued demand from paint and alloy industries.

Elsewhere, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial also dropped further due to poor offtake from shippers and soap manufacturing units.

While, refined palmolein recovered owing to renewed demand from retail buying.

Meanwhile, groundnut oil ruled steady in absence of any large-scale buying activity.

In the non-edible section, linseed oil declined by Rs 50 per 10kg to Rs 1,000 from Last Saturday's close Rs 1,050.

Castorseeds bold moved down by Rs 15 per 100kg to Rs 3,900 as against Rs 3,915 last weekends level and castoroil commercial edged down by Rs 3 per 10kg to Rs 810 from Rs 813 previously.
 

Moving to edible segment, refined palmolein rose by Rs 7 per 10kg to Rs 610 as aginast Rs 603 previously and groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 1,000 per 10kg.
