Aam Aadmi Party candidate from Uttam Nagar, Naresh Balyan, today once again sought time from the Delhi Police to join the probe over recovery of liquor bottles from a warehouse near his house.

Responding to Balyan's continued no-show, Police Commissioner BS Bassi told reporters, "I am not updated on it and if he did not come, then appropriate legal action will be taken."

However, Balyan claimed that his lawyer had conveyed to the police that he was available for investigation "tomorrow or day after".

"My lawyer today went to Chanakyapuri police station and conveyed to them that I am available for investigation. I have also sought time tomorrow or day after," Balyan said.

Senior AAP leaders Ashish Khetan, Ashutosh and Sanjay Singh had met the Police Commissioner on Friday and requested him to allow Balyan to join the probe after the elections.
