A 33-year-old liquor vend employee was allegedly killed by his colleagues at Panj Graiyana village here, police said today.

An FIR was lodged by the victim's father in this regard, Station House Officer of Ranger Nangal Ved Parkash said.

In his complaint, Allias Masih, a resident of Suneya village under Sadar Batala police station, said that his son Sunil Masih (33) was an employee at a liquor vend at Panj Graiyana village.

Sunil, along with a few of his colleagues, was living in a rented room there. Allias alleged that his son was beaten up last night by the latter's colleagues.

Subsequently, when the victim entered the kitchen of their rented room, his colleagues caught him by the arm and pressed him on a broken glass of the window, which cut his veins and led to Sunil's death on the spot, he said.

Police have registered a case against Kala, Pala, Jatinder and their three other persons, the SHO said adding the accused were still at large.
