Model-turned-actor Lisa Haydon is hosting the latest edition of the supermodel contest that has launched the careers of Bollywood celebrities including Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone among others.

Ten established women models are pitted against each other in the 'Kingfisher Supermodels' TV show, whose winner is set to be featured in the 2014 calendar sharing space with top models from the fashion industry.

Lisa, herself a supermodel, who had won an earlier hunt is acting as mentor to the models who have to undertake tasks "designed to bring out the extreme within the models."

The "tasks" range from giving the perfect pose of an item girl to carrying out a masculine-alike-sexy attire of a football diva.

"One of the task requires them to be dressed in rustic desi look, a theme inspired by Bollywood item girls. Another requires them to give a football pin-up poster girl look, wearing athletic but sexier clothes. The inspiration is drawn from the fantasy female football," says Mohan Neelkanthan, the show's designer.

Other tasks include enacting themes of 'Bondage' wherein models are "tied up like prisoners, and in a way they had to break free."

The hunt for the 'one' will feature on NDTV Good Times on weekends starting from November 9. Ramp walkers even have to dress up in animal costumes like those sported by advertisements for the People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). Contestants are challenged to give the best camera capture with the feel of a captured animal.

"You will be surprised to know that the costume for the 'animal theme' has been designed by college students. We gave them a budget out of which they have done an extraordinary job. Though the costumes are not perfect, but it was a good try," says the designer.
