Security personnel of the CISF, during screening at the Anand Vihar Metro station at about 6 am in the morning, detected three live rounds of 8mm variant.
The passengers from whom the bullets were recovered have been identified as Sumit Gupta, Lalit Gupta and Kiran Gupta - all residents of Etah in Uttar Pradesh.
"Since the passengers had no licence to carry such ammunition, they were handed over to Metro police for further procedures under law," the official said.
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) guards the Delhi Metro network in the national capital and the NCR.
