A mortar shell was found and destroyed in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, Sunday, police said.
The live mortar shell was recovered near Tosa Maidan Malik Mohalla in Khag area of the district, they said.
A bomb disposal squad was sent to the spot, which destroyed the shell, an official said.
Tosa Maidan was until recently used as an artillery firing range by the army. The meadow was thrown open for tourists in 2016.
