The Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), led by Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan, today dissolved its Madhya Pradesh unit after its state chief Kunwar Singh left the party and joined the Congress.

LJP secretary general Abdul Khaliq said the Madhya Pradesh unit has been disbanded and would be constituted in some time.

Singh's decision to join the Congress is being linked with the Assembly by-polls in Chitrapoor constituency where he enjoys some influence.
