Lloyd Mathias to join HP India as Chief Marketing Officer

Former Tata Teleservices Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Lloyd Mathias is joining computer maker HP India (Hewlett-Packard India) has as its CMO.

Mathias will replace Ranjivjit Singh, who moved out recently, people familiar with the development said.

HP India and Mathias could not immediately be reached for comments.

In his new role, Mathias will be based in Gurgaon and will look after the company's marketing communications.

With 24 years of experience, Mathias has worked across sectors such as telecom and consumer goods.

He started his career with Onida and went on to join United Spirits.

Mathias has worked with PepsiCo, where he handled marketing for non-colas and juice drinks, according to his LinkedIn profile. After PepsiCo, Mathias joined Motorola as senior director, head of sales and operations India & SW Asia in 2005.
 

He co-chaired the Device Strategy Council at CDMA Development Group and chaired the Media Research Users Council before joining Tata Teleservices as president and CMO in December 2008.

In April 2012, he founded GreenBean Ventures, a management consultancy.
