Lobia softens on muted demand

In restricted activity, Lobia prices drifted down by Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on subdued demand from retailers against adequate stocks position.

However, other pulses moved in a narrow range in limited deals and pegged at last levels.

Traders said low demand from retailers against ample stocks position on higher supplies from producing belts mainly led to decline in lobia prices.

In the national capital, lobia fell by Rs 200 to Rs 4,200-4,400 per quintal.
