Local Hindu leader Jagdish Tangri passes away

Local Hindu leader Jagdish Tangri passed away here tonight due to age-related problems.

Tangri (80) had been keeping unwell due to old age, his family said. He is survived by his wife and son.

Tangri was a staunch opponent of militant leader Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindrawala during the days of terrorism in Punjab in the eighties.
