Local VHP leader killed in accident

A local VHP leader was killed and another seriously injured when their car collided with a tractor trolley near Rasulpur culvert here, police said.

The vice president of the Mahanager unit of the VHP, Subhash Chandra Mathur (64) was last night returning home after a visit to Vrindavan when his car collided with the tractor trolley coming from the wrong side, police said.

The other occupant M D Sharma also suffered serious injuries and has been hospitalised, police said.

Sharma is also associated with the VHP.

SP, Rural, Khyati Garg said a hunt was on for the driver of the tractor trolley who fled from the scene after the accident.
