'Lodge FIR against police men for taking pregnant woman into

National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) today asked Jaladhar police to lodge an FIR against the police men who illegally took a pregnant woman teacher into custody after a demonstration here.

The Commission's Vice Chairman Rajkumar Berka asked city police to register case against the accused police personnel.

The pregnant woman suffered a miscarriage after she was released from police custody.

"If it is found out after probe that the woman suffered the miscarriage because of police investigation, then the accused policemen will be booked under the Scheduled Castes Act and withing 15 days the probe report should be submitted before the Commission", Berka said.
 

The Education Providers' Union on Sunday had demonstrated in the city demanding permanent employment for government teachers and disbursal of their pending salaries.

After the demonstration, police had detained the woman for questioning. She suffered a miscarriage after she was release from police custody.
