The Supreme Court appointed three-member committee headed by Justice R M Lodha has recommended the name of CBI's SP Vivek Priyadarshi to help the them in the investigation on the charges levelled against IPL CEO Sundar Raman as BB Mishra has now retired from service.

In this regard, the Lodha committee comprising of Justice RM Lodha, Justice Ashok Bhan and Justice RV Raveendran have requested the apex court on April 6 to consider the name of Priyadarshi after Mishra's superannuation on March 31, 2015.

On February 22nd, 2015, the committee directed as follows: "Having considered materials collected by the Investigation team headed by Shri BB Mishra, IPS in the course of role and activities of Shri Sundar Raman, CEO IPL, the committee is of the view that further investigation in this regard is necessary to reach any firm conclusion. The commitee is also of the view that further investigation may be carried out by the Mishra Investigation Team, constituted by the Honourable Supreme Court. We direct accordingly."

Now with Mishra's retirement and investigations against Raman on full swing the committee would need the help of an IPS officer and have thus recommended Priyadarshi's name for approval.

The secretary of the committee Gopal Sankaranarayan is authorized to make an appropriate application to the Supreme Court in this regard for suitable directions.
