The 'love nest', constructed in 1963 by Fox Studios for the shoot of iconic movie "Ceopatra", was apparently wrecked while it was on loan to Silver Screen Pictures for filming of "Liz and Dick".
Photos show cigarette burns on fabric, furniture and even a portrait of Taylor. Dishes, mirror and glass were broken, reported CNN.
Fox Studios spent more than USD 75,000 in 1963 to create an environment fit for the queen Taylor was playing. She took filming breaks in the trailer with Burton, between roman columns with walls and ceilings handpainted in the style of Cleopatra's era.
Angel Alger, a Taylor fan, bought the 38-foot travel trailer for USD 50,000 using her life savings in June. But a month later, after loaning it to the production company for the Lifetime TV movie, Alger says she discovered it had been ruined - and that items were missing.
"I was specifically told that it would come back in pristine condition and in even better condition than it was at that time," Alger said.

"Only a psychotic and rebellious person or people would steal irreplaceable museum belongings and leave it in this vandalised condition," she added.
Alger said she suspects it was Lindsay Lohan, based on a studio employee's comment to her that the actress and her friends had access to it each night after filming.
But Lohan's publicist Steve Honig said there was no way the actress, who he said worshipped Taylor, would ever destroy anything connected to her.
