A Lok Adalat held in the Orissa High Court here today disposed of 83 cases and awarded nearly Rs 1.81 crore to different claimants.
Justices Kumari Sanju Panda, Biswajit Mohanty, Biswanath Rath, S K Sahoo, S N Prasad, K R Mohapatra and D P Choudhury held seven separate courts during the day to decide a total 422 cases.
Only 83 cases could be disposed, a statement said.
The cases related to motor accident claims, banks, insurance, criminal compoundable, matrimonial, land acquisition, railway compensation, food supply and consumer affairs, fisheries, animal husbandry and electricity matters were listed.
