Lok Adalats, organised by Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA), decided 828 accident cases in 2011-12, said the seventh annual report of DSLSA.
The victims and their family members were awarded Rs 14.60 crore as compensation, it said.
The report was released by Acting Chief Justice of Delhi High Court A K Sikri, also the DSLSA executive chairman, and Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul, the chairman of Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee.
The high court judges also inaugurated the orientation and training programme for lawyers, empanelled by DSLSA.
Speaking at the occasion, Justice Sikri said, "Law is a noble profession and legal aid-empanelled lawyers befit the description."
Lok Adalats also disposed of 67,047 cheque bounce cases last year in which a settlement amount of Rs 34.52 crore were awarded to litigants, the report said.

They also settled 3,333 electricity cases with settlement amount running into Rs 9.44 crore, it said.
DSLSA has also made popular the plea bargaining with the Lok Adalats, it said.
DSLSA disposed of 2,408 criminal cases by way of plea bargaining where Rs 74.53 lakh settlement amount was paid, it said, adding fines to the tune of Rs 26 lakh was realised from accused who confessed to their crime.
590 cases of traffic rules violations were also disposed of by Lok Adalatas, it said.
As per the report, 17,071 people benefited from legal aid rendered by DLSA and the High Court Legal Services Committee.
