The Monsoon Session of Lok Sabha was adjourned sine die tonight after a month-long sittings that saw Parliament pass the landmark Food Security and Land Acquisition Bills.
A highlight of the session was also the passage of a key economic reform legislation Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority Bill, which was hanging fire for nearly a decade due to political differences.
The first two weeks of the Session were marred by frequent disruptions over several issues, including the decision on separate Telangana and alleged land deals of Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra, Chinese incursions, killing of five Indian soldiers on borders and fuel price hike.
