Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar today offered obeisance at the 'Dargah' of revered Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti here, official sources said.
Kumar, accompanied with her husband Manju Kumar, son Anshul Abhijeet and daughther-in-law Monika Singh also offered a special 'chadar' and flowers at the saint's mausoleum.
She stayed there for about 15 minutes and prayed for the peace, harmony and prosperity of the nation.
Anjuman, a body of Khadims (priests), Committee gave a red carpet welcome to the Speaker's family.
Kumar, who arrived here last evening went to the Ajmer Circuit house where she was given Guard of Honour by the police jawans, according to an official release here.
